Family Campout Information

You’re invited to a family campout under the stars.  Join family and friends on the evening of Friday, October 10th on the Martha S. Clark Field for an evening of games, snacks, activities, and more. 

Tent set-up begins at 5pm, which is also when runner check-in for the one mile Fun Run opens. The Fun Run begins at 6:15pm. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7:30pm so that runners can eat after the race. To help us buy and prepare an accurate amount of food, we ask that you pre-order your cookout meal using the form provided in your child's packet.  Additional copies of the sign-up form are available at the front desk. Your family’s pre-ordered meal will be available for pick up at the concession stand. Besides hot-off-the-grill hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers, concessions will be open throughout the evening, so be sure to bring cash for snacks and treats. 

Because this is a family campout (as opposed to a social event with friends), there must be a parent/guardian in each tent with a maximum of 6:1 child to adult ratio. No pets, please. You are welcome to bring Frisbees, footballs, camping chairs, etc.  

For those who prefer, there is an option to participate in the evening’s activities but not stay overnight.  You will miss out on a tasty breakfast prepared by Mr. Bates, but if you plan to leave around 9pm or before, please mark this on the form as well.  

Whether you participate in the Fun Run or not, you are welcome to end this fun-filled day surrounded by others from the RCDS Community.
